Horses

Finest Desire.  (Phoebe)

17hh 17 year old Westphalian mare.

She was bought as a very green 7 year old, from a showjumping yard.  Phoebe was a talented but very challenging horse, with a seriously quick rear and spin on spotting something scary!  With a lot of time and patience, her behaviour improved tremendously, but she still does get easily scared.  After spending the 2014 season combining BE and BD, she then moved to focus on BD.

10th Summer Regionals 2014.  Novice Open.

3rd Area Festival Regionals 2014.  Elementary Open.  (Qualified for Area Festival Championships 2015).

12th Winter Regionals 2015.  Elementary Open.

Having retired from competition due to a field injury, she bred her first foal, a filly, in 2019. Phoebe is graded in the Main Studbook of the British Hanoverian Horse Society.

Wintermann.  (Cluedo)

16.3hh 12 year old Hannoverian gelding.

Very little is know about Cluedo's history.  He was born in Germany and had passed through several dealers yards in the UK when I found him.  As a result he was very nervous, and very wary of everything.  He has a massive spook, and we have both been sat on the arena floor looking at each other, Cluedo having lost balance, with spooking so quickly!  To gain his trust and confidence, his training has had to be taken very slowy, he is one of the most complicated horses I have ever ridden!

Cluedo competes BD.  I have represented BD Northern on him at the Senior Inter Regionals and the Senior Home International in both 2016 and 2018.

He is currently competing BD Elementary/Medium.  At home the work focus is to strengthen him, and enourage him to relax so that he really learns to use his body.

Winter Regional Championships 2020, Elementary Freestyle 3rd.

Henry

16.3 hh Thoroughbred gelding.

An eyecatching homebred horse who has now retired.  He gained points at BE Intermediate level, and had numerous good placings BE, before foot issues put a stop to his eventing career.  After he finished eventing, he enjoyed a few days hunting when time allowed, proving to be the perfect hunter, with impeccable manners.  He is now fully retired here at Dairy Farm.

Dolcissimo (Dulcie)

8 year old Warmblood cross, chestnut mare.

Dulcie was backed when rising 4 years old.  She unfortunately had a serious field accident, injuring her head/neck, during the summer of that same year, resulting in 4 months box rest, and the winter off.

She restarted work as a 5 year old, but taking things steady to see how she would cope with ridden work.  Since then she has progressed well, becoming increasingly mobile in her head/neck, and gaining an all round education.  Dressage, Showjumping and Cross Country schooling.

She will start BD competitions shortly.  As she also very much enjoys her jumping, she will also showjump and event at an unaffiliated level this year.
